Zack Burkett Co., a third-generation family-owned company founded in 1958, specializes in highway and heavy construction and road building materials in Texas. Three hot mix asphalt plants, three commercial limestone quarries and a sand/gravel operation complement the firm’s road building activities. Principal customers include the Texas Department of Transportation, cities, counties, developers and private industrial facilities. Zack Burkett Co. also performs contract crushing/mining for various commercial and private customers across the state.Zack Burkett Co.’s home office is located in Graham, Texas, with a satellite office in Wichita Falls. Stationary hot mix asphalt plants are located at the Wichita Falls facility and at the company’s Leach Quarry located south of Graham. A portable hot mix asphalt plant is utilized on paving projects scattered across north Texas.Zack Burkett Co. is a member of the AGC of Texas, Associated General Contractors of America, Texas Good Roads and Transportation Association, Texas Asphalt Pavement Association, American Road and Transportation Builders Association, and a strong supporter of The Road Information Program (TRIP). Principals and key management people of the company have served in numerous leadership roles in these organizations over the past fifty years and continue today serving the industry through volunteer service to these important associations.Principals of the company are Zack Burkett, III, President and CEO; Jim Burkett, Vice-President; Z.T.
